It has been studied in several clinical trials to be safe, effective and well absorbed in humans. Our collagen comes from hormone-free and antibiotic-free chicken cartilage. It is rich in collagen type 2 and closely corresponds to the composition of human articular cartilage. Cartilage is a pure source of collagen because it is not connected to the bloodstream. We have also added Nordic pine bark extract, which contains strong polyphenols that have health-promoting effects. The bark we use comes from the pure forests of northern Finland and has been used for centuries as a superfood in the Nordic countries.
Osteoarthritis affects people negatively both physically and psychologically
Human life expectancy has steadily increased at a rapid rate, but this increased life expectancy also leads to increases in disease, dementia and disability. A global disease study found that osteoarthritis of the hip and knee was ranked 11th in terms of years of disability. Wear and tear can greatly affect the quality of life during aging. Especially wear and tear of the articular cartilage has harmful effects on the joints and results in osteoarthritis.

Several studies show that pain, joint stiffness and quality of life have improved with the introduction of collagen for knee osteoarthritis in elderly individuals. In one of the studies, participants were divided into two groups and received either BioCell Collagen or a placebo for 70 days. Compared to the placebo, the Collagen group had a significant reduction in joint pain on days 35 and 70. In addition, the Collagen group experienced a clear improvement in physical activities compared to the placebo group on days 35 and 70.
